Talos config evolution

An interactive, version-scrubbable map of how Talos machine configuration moved out of the single monolithic v1alpha1 document into per-concern multi-documents.

• Left — the v1alpha1 machine: / cluster: field tree, colour-coded per release: still required, superseded by a document, or dropped outright.
• Right — the config document kind:s, grouped by area.
• Slider — any release from 1.8 (first config document) to 1.15; the view is cumulative.

Open index.html. No build, no server, no dependencies.

Current dataset

93 documents, 222 parsed v1alpha1 fields, 74 of them now configured by a document. Derived from Talos at v1.15.0-alpha.0.

Updating

This repo is a mirror. Do not edit index.html or data.js here — regenerate them from the source project, which derives everything from a Talos checkout (document registrations and the Deprecated: markers on the v1alpha1 structs, dated by the release tags containing each registration):
