HornePocalypse brings reinforcement learning into a 3D environment inspired by Malta’s limestone apiaries.
Open the latest release and download the .apk file under Assets.
- Android 8.0 or newer
- OpenGL ES 3.0 graphics support
- Download the APK on your Android phone.
- Open the downloaded file.
- If prompted, allow your browser or file manager to install apps from this source.
- Tap Install, then open HornePocalypse.
- Train Model — Train your own model on your phone, configure its training plan and follow its progress.
- Watch Model — Watch Joseph’s pretrained AI make decisions in the simulation.
- Play Game — Aim with the joystick, fire at hornets and spare the bees.
Explore through Overview, Turret, Barrel and Bee view cameras. Adjust graphics, insect visibility and motion effects in Settings.
Keep multiple profiles with separate models and training histories.
- Export a model file to preserve its full saved training state.
- Transfer a compact model between phones using animated QR codes.
- Share complete models over the same Wi-Fi network or hotspot.
Visual QR sharing works directly from screen to camera without an internet connection. The receiver can continue training the imported model.
Training runs locally on your phone. Enable Keep training when I leave in Settings to continue outside the app with a progress notification.
