Hi, I'm Isaac Adjei 👋
Electronic Engineering and Computer Science student at Aston University, Birmingham, working where hardware meets software. I design circuits and PCBs, write firmware from bare-metal C to Rust, build full-stack platforms and write free teaching material. Everything below is open source.

git-unlocked: a free Git curriculum in 12 sections and over 220 files, covering GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, Gitea, Forgejo and Codeberg on Windows, macOS and Linux. CC BY-SA 4.0 and archived on Zenodo.
PHAEMOS: an IoT predictive maintenance platform. ESP32, STM32, Arduino and Pico 2W sensor nodes stream telemetry to a FastAPI backend where an Isolation Forest flags anomalies before a machine fails. It also has a real-time TypeScript dashboard, a Rust edge gateway and KiCad hardware.
MELOPHOS: LED light bars that teach piano, with guitar next, in active development. An ESP32-S3 hub reads MIDI, a Rust engine scores every note and a browser Studio tracks progress. It is built for accessibility. I have monocular vision, so light-guided cues matter to me and to anyone who finds sheet music hard to follow.
isaacadjei.me: my portfolio of projects, research, a blog, an interactive lab and public stats, built with Next.js 16, React 19 and TypeScript. Its source is published after every deploy.
Hardware and embedded
Two-Stage Audio Amplifier: a TL071 active band-pass filter into an OPA551 power buffer driving an 8 Ω speaker. Simulated in Proteus, proved on a breadboard and built as a custom PCB.
NeoPixel LED Cube: a 4x4x4 WS2812B cube on an Arduino Uno with four animation modes, light-sensor brightness and button controls.
AVR-Zac: bare-metal C on the ATmega644P with state machines, interrupts, PWM and ADC, down to a reaction-time game and a Tetris melody.
More
- Websites: zacess.com is a terminal-inspired personal site. AstonCV is a full-stack PHP CV database built with no frameworks.
- Learning in public: competitive programming solutions synced from LeetCode, NeetCode and Codeforces, reusable templates and AI and data science notebooks.
- Developer environment: ready-to-use configs for macOS, Linux and Windows: dotfiles, Git, Git hooks, SSH, Neovim, VS Code, JetBrains, tmux, terminals, CLI tools, Raycast, Rectangle and system defaults.
- Creative coding: py-video generates video and animation with OpenCV, MoviePy and FFmpeg.
Why sponsor me?
- Keep git-unlocked free and growing for learners everywhere
- Fund PCBs and components for PHAEMOS, MELOPHOS and new builds
- Cover hosting as PHAEMOS and MELOPHOS go live
- Give a student more time for open source work alongside a degree
